John Guenther, Founder, Inventor and Chairman. Mr. Guenther has been a lifelong entrepreneur, iconoclastic thinker an inventor of innovative products. One of Mr. Guenther's earliest inventions was done when John was in his twenties. As Founder of Wheels on Wells Inc., Mr. Guenther rethought motor cycle locks, invented a larger and more substantial device and changed the market and product line for motorcycle security systems. Mr. Guenther's lock is now used throughout the industry. John's inspiration for the SafetyEgg concept came from his extensive experience as a sailor and pilot of motorized and glider aircraft. The innovative spark to re-purpose the gimbal for the benefit of child safety occurred while sailing.
Philip H. Bonello, Ph.D., President and CEO. Mr. Bonello can best be described as a marketing psychologist. Mr. Bonello has a wide range of experience including senior leadership positions in Fortune 100 companies, leading greenfield start-ups, performing leveraged buyouts, running small businesses and raising capital for business start-ups and business expansion. Mr. Bonello brings 30 years of business management expertise. Among Mr. Bonello's achievements are; creating and delivering National Directory Assistance to the Telecommunications Industry while at R.R. Donnelley and Sons Company, creating and launching the Hi Ricky(R) restaurant chain, and bringing e-commerce to the lighting distribution industry through his early and innovative work at Topbulb.com, LLC. Mr. Bonello has been described as "a thinker without paradigms." Mr. Bonello holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from The Illinois Institute of Technology, an M.A. in Psychology from Duquesne University, and a B.S. in Psychology from Ohio University.
Paul Charles Begeman, Ph.D., Vice President. Mr. Begeman has spent his career studying and evaluating crashes and the science that can be brought to bear on mitigating the impacts of excessive force on humans. Mr. Begeman has worked extensively for NASA, The Department of Transportation, and The National Traffic and Safety Administration among others. Mr Begamen hohds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Bioengineering) from Wayne State University, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering Sciences from Wayne State University and a B.S. in Engineering Sciences from West Lafayette. Mr. Begeman is currently a Research Assistant at Wayne State University. Mr. Begeman is highly regarded in the field of biomechanics and specifically in the area of automobile safety and the crash-related issues relevant to side impact collisions. Mr. Begeman has published dozens of articles on biomechanics, automobile safety and side impact collisions.
